Marie-Therese Nödl

Marie completed her PhD at the Department of theoretical Biology, University of Vienna in Austria. In her thesis she focused on the evolution of animal appendages by studying the formation of the cephalopod arm crown and the possible role of Wnt signaling during this process, using the Hawaiian bobtail squid as a model system. Marie joined the Galloway lab to study tendon injury and regeneration in the adult zebrafish. She is currently working on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying tendon-to-bone attachment repair.
